Red Door Workshop: Rental Agreement

We hold pricing and guarantee product availability once payment is made and the rental event is confirmed. We try to be fair and upfront with our terms and we ask the same of you. We understand that plans change and we will try and accommodate any requests you may have but please reach out to us directly to discuss.

Rental Basics

Delivery & Pick-up

Included in your rental is delivery within West Hartford, setup and pick up. We’ll deliver and set up the rentals prior to your event start time. If there is a specific time required for delivery and set up, this must be agreed upon at least 7 days in advance.

Delivery outside of West Hartford may require a Delivery Charge which will be disclosed prior to booking.

Order Pick-up

If you opt to pick-up your rentals, they  may be picked-up in a car or vehicle of choice, but all items must be in the enclosed portion of the vehicle. Marquee Numbers and Letters are just over 48” tall and 28” wide and will require moving blankets and tie downs. Customer is responsible for supplying own moving supplies. Tarps are not acceptable as an alternative to an enclosed vehicle

Set-up

The rental fee includes the setup or installation of the rented item and/or applying only the items or accessories that WE PROVIDE. We do not install or decorate with items that are not provided by us.  The set-up and breakdown does not include cleanup of items that are not the property of Red Door Workshop.

Late Returns

If items are not available for pickup, the customer will be charged for an additional days rental. If items are not returned within three (3) days and customer is not able to be reached, replacement fees will be assessed and charged to the credit card on file. Communication is important.

Damaged/ Missing Items

Renter assumes full responsibility of item upon possession, and agrees to pay full replacement cost for lost or damaged items. Items should remain in “Like New” condition. Small smudges and handprints are acceptable.  Excessive dirt, mud or markings will be assessed and be subject to additional fees.   

Photography Release

By acknowledging this agreement, you give Red Door Workshop permission to use the photos that we take at your event on our website and advertisements, materials, etc, with the understanding that you will not profit from them in any way.

Payment Terms


CREDIT CARD TERMS

A valid credit card must be kept on file. The credit card will be used for damages, missing items, late fees, replacement fees, cleaning fees, or added services as outlined above.  The credit card will be charged if changes are made the day of the event, such as added services, labor or additional items are requested or required. If you submit a check that is subsequently returned, you will be required to pay in cash or credit card only. A $30 fee is assessed on all returned checks. Check payments are not accepted the week of the event

PAYMENT FOR DAMAGED/MISSING ITEMS

 Red Door Workshop will notify you within 5 days of the event if damages are discovered, or items are found to be missing.  Damaged items are discarded within 10 days unless the client requests to come pick them up. After 10 days, the client gives up rights to the item(s). Photos of damages will be submitted as proof upon request. If damaged items are not paid for within 7 days, the credit card on file will be billed, unless payment arrangements have been setup with the owner.


CANCELLATIONS

Please be aware that once you’ve reserved, booked, and scheduled your rental, other clients have been refused your specific rentals and services for your event date, and thus all payments are non-refundable. All services may be cancelled if received in writing no later than 30 days prior to the event. You would not be obligated to pay the balance of your invoice, unless you placed a special order for a custom item which was purchased or created specifically for your event. In such cases, you would be contractually bound to pay the balance due on the account.  A credit in the amount of the deposit will remain on file if the event is postponed.
